Increasingly, when attempting to describe the way I function as a visual artist, a word that comes to mind is “reporter.” On examining the work I have under my belt – and the ideas I have in the hopper – I notice that my artwork often has to do with reporting on something going on somewhere in the world.

Perhaps it is because I listen to the radio while I work. Radio, and the images it conveys to my mind, filters into my art in myriad ways. News shows, talk shows, baseball games, all kinds of music, old-time radio – I take it all in while I work and somehow what I absorb seems to end up on my creative radar. Part of the creative journey for me is also to integrate my own particular brand of humor into my artwork.

Thanks for checking out my website! I’d love to hear what my work made you think and feel!
